LITTLE ROCK U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln is talking with farmers in her home state about health care and climate change legislation.
The Democratic senator planned to hold a videoconference Tuesday morning with members of the Arkansas Farm Bureau on the two issues. The group advocates and lobbies on behalf of the state’s farmers.
The Farm Bureau has set up locations for its members to view the videoconference and ask Lincoln questions at 12 sites around the state.
Lincoln is speaking with the group as she faces a tough re-election battle next year. Seven Republicans have announced they’re seeking the GOP nomination to challenge Lincoln next year.
Stanley Reed, a former president of the Farm Bureau, said last week he’s considering seeking the GOP Senate nomination.
