Heavy rainfall causes flooding in state

Much of Arkansas already soaked from record-setting precipitation

— Heavy rainfall has caused flooding, evacuations, power failures, and road closures throughout the state Friday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for the eastern 2/3 of Arkansas.

Shannon Hills has evacuated 200 residents due to high flooding.

Highway 67/167 only has one lane open from Jacksonville to Cabot, and the access road at the Air Base exit is closed Friday morning.

Entergy is reporting over 370 power failures with nearly 8,400 customers affected.
