— A federal judge has denied convicted evangelist Tony Alamo's request for a new trial.

In an order issued Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Harry Barnes rejected the motion by Alamo, who was convicted in July of 10 counts of transporting minors across state lines for sex. The 74-year-old Alamo had argued that prosecutors didn't prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and that prosecutors should have been forced to reveal the identity of two confidential informants.

In his order, Barnes said Alamo received a fair trial and that there were no errors that warranted a new trial.

Alamo could face up to 175 years in prison. A sentencing date hasn't been set.
