— Voters in the Shirley School District will go to the polls Tuesday to elect one new school board member.

Polls will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Shirley High School Auditorium and at the Fairfield Bay Senior Citizens Center.

Superintendent Jack Robinson said two people are running for the one position - Ron Edwards and Russell Ekhoff.

There are a total of five members on the school board, each of whom serve five years.

"There is only one position open this year," Robinson said.
