About 60 Arkansas guardsmen will be deploying to Kosovo on Wednesday for a year-long peacekeeping mission.
The units departing are the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 114th Aviation Regiment (Security & Support) and Detachment 1, Foxtrot Company, 2nd Battalion, 238th Aviation Regiment (Air Ambulance).
The two units will serve together as the command element for Task Force Griffin, a general support aviation battalion.
A sendoff ceremony will take place Tuesday morning at Camp Robinson for those leaving on the deployment.
There are currently no other Arkansas Guard units deployed to Kosovo, but around 500 Arkansas Guardsmen are currently deployed to Afghanistan. In total, the Arkansas National Guard has mobilized more than 12,000 soldiers and airmen since Sept. 11, 2001.

Ok boys, go ahead and pack your skates, you're going to need them. You aren't going to be doing a damn thing in Kosovo.
