Arkansas Earth Day Festival

The gates will be open to the public from 10am to 3pm. This FREE family friendly festival will feature live local bands, great food, informative booths and green products and services, and a huge kids area.

The 2010 Arkansas Earth Day Festival theme is "Gateway to Green" is because we wish it to be a spring board of inspiration for each attendee to become more environmentally conscious in your everyday choices.

Little Rock Job Corps Go Green Fair

Little Rock Job Corps will hold its first annual “Go Green Fair on April 20. Vendors such as Heal Arkansas with the Clinton Initiative Foundation, Central Arkansas Water Entergy, Arkansas Natural Heritage, Urban Forester, Home Depot, The Village Commons, Pulaski County Youth Services, Crossroads Green, Game and Fish Commission, Heifer International, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, City of Little Rock and Pulaski Technical College are just a few of the vendors that will be in attendance at this green event.

This Go Green Fair is just one of a week of scheduled activities in celebration of Earth Day Every Day 2010, the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. During this event we will educate community members about Job Corps” green career areas and forge relationships wit potential green employers. We hope to spur excitement within this community and throughout the city to promote habits that are good for the environment that will carry over into each persons work and family life.
