MELBOURNE — Prosecutors say an Izard County man faces murder charges in the death of his estranged wife, whose body was found after a fire destroyed her home in Calico Rock.
Donald Dickey already faced arson charges for the July 25 blaze at the home of Mary Dickey. Prosecutors filed a first-degree murder charge late last week against Dickey in connection with Mary Dickey’s death.
Authorities say Donald Dickey was found at a marina shortly after the blaze and that he appeared to have blood on his shoes.
A police affidavit says Donald Dickey was facing domestic violence charges at the time of Mary Dickey’s death, and that she had a restraining order against him.
He is being held at the Izard County jail on a $500,000 bond.
