— Clark County authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy on an Arkadelphia woman whose body was found in the Caddo River.

Clark County Sheriff David Turner says a group of people who were on a float trip on the river between the Lower Dam and Arkansas 7 called police at about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday and said they had found a body. The woman was identified as 28-year-old Angela Fernandes.

Turner says foul play isn’t suspected, but Fernandes’ body was sent the state Crime Laboratory.

He said Thursday investigators found a man who had been with Fernandes earlier and questioned him and several others. All were released.

Turner says it could be weeks before the autopsy and other tests are completed.
