— A judge on Tuesday ordered a DNA test for a Little Rock parolee arrested Monday in a 15-year-old murder case which prosecutors described as a contract killing.

Trimell McIntosh, 34, was also ordered held in lieu of a $250,000 bond during a preliminary appearance in Little Rock District Court. He is charged with first-degree murder.

McIntosh is suspected of fatally shooting 21-year-old Larry Robinson outside a gambling house in the 3200 block of South Wolfe Street. His arrest came after the Little Rock Police Department's cold-case unit took up a new investigation into the Feb. 22, 1995 killing.

A prosecutor said in court Tuesday that a confidential informant told investigators he was present when McIntosh, then 18, acknowledged shooting Robinson for between $5,000 and $10,000. The same informant said he saw McIntosh with a gun the day of the killing and that McIntosh said then "he had just shot the victim," prosecutors said.

McIntosh, who appeared via video from the Pulaski County jail, did not speak during the brief hearing.

Judge Alice Lightle's order for a DNA test came after a public defender said the case "looked like hearsay upon hearsay" during bond discussions.
