Medical center earns Challenge Level Award

— Randy Zook, president of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, presented Stone County Medical Center with the Challenge Level Award during the 16th annual Awards Celebration for the Governor’s Quality Award Program on Nov. 15 at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock.

Approximately 260 business and civic leaders from throughout Arkansas attended the celebration, which recognized 18 organizations throughout four award levels — the Governor’s Quality Award, the Achievement Award, the Commitment Award and the Challenge Award.

“It is an honor to be recognized for the Challenge Award,” said Renie Taylor, chief operating officer at Stone County Medical Center. “It proves that we are on the right path in our efforts to improve the community we serve by striving for performance excellence.”

The Challenge Level Award is given to organizations completing the basic elements associated with quality awareness and understanding.
