A Lonoke man and woman were arrested Monday after a methamphetamine lab exploded in a wooded area near where the couple were found walking, the Lonoke County Sheriff's office announced in a news release Tuesday.
Casandra McCann, 29, and Paul Scott, 24, were arrested on charges of reckless burning and criminal trespass.
A Lonoke County sheriff's deputiy responded to a call of trespassing near Hicks Road and discovered McCann and Scott on the property and drove them to McCann's vehicle nearby, the release said.
The deputy then saw a fire in the woods and called Tri-Community Fire Department, which put out the blaze.
