LITTLE ROCK Garbage pickup in Little Rock will resume Wednesday with crews focusing first on areas scheduled for that day and then on areas missed because of winter weather Monday and today.
City Manager Bruce Moore said residents who missed their pickup should put their garbage out Wednesday. It will be collected by Friday at the latest, Moore said.
To make it happen, yard waste - which is typically light this time of year - will not be collected this week. Those trucks will focus instead on garbage collection.
In North Little Rock, crews will pick up Monday and Tuesday garbage on Wednesday. Garbage normally picked up Wednesday will be picked up Thursday and garbage picked up Thursday will be picked up Friday.
That plan could still change, however, if side streets are impassable during an evaluation Wednesday morning, Sanitation Director Harold Ford cautioned.
"That's what we're going to try to get done," he said of the plan. "But it will still be contingent on the conditions of the side roads."
