Extension service to host new 4-H beef project

CONWAY The Faulkner County Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas, Division of Agriculture, will host “The Next Generation - 4-H Beef Project” in 2010.
“The Next Generation - 4-H Beef Project” is designed to teach young people about realworld cattle farming. When students enroll in the program, they begin to experience the true meaning of beef production.
The project’s kick-off meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the Faulkner County Natural Resource Center.
Participants are asked to preregister by Monday, March 1. Project brochures are available. Call (501) 329-8344 for more information or to preregister.
The meeting and project are open to all youth between the ages of 5 and 19 without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender or disability.
People with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information (large print, audiotapes, etc.) should notify the county extension office as soon as possible prior to the activity.
