Two killed in White County shooting

— Two people shot this morning in White County have died, authorities said.

Audra Evans, 40, and Robert Edward Berry, 41, were each shot about 10:30 a.m. at 115 Shelbey Drive, said White County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Greg Coney.

The resident, Mark Sullivan, is considered a suspect in the shootings, Coney said. He has not been charged in them, however, and has been arrested only on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant for terroristic threatening.

Responding deputies found the victims in the garage of the home. Officials initially transported them to the White County Medical Center for treatment.

Coney said Evans is believed to have been either Sullivan's ex-wife or a former girlfriend. Berry was her current boyfriend.

The events leading up to the shooting remain unclear.

"The investigators are still out there trying to put together all the pieces," Coney said.

Both victims will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsies.
