LR police on scene of reported shooting in 2400 block of Schilling Street.

A man shot during an altercation in a house on Schiller Street may have suffered life-threatening injuries, authorities on scene said.

The man was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. It was not immediately known how many times or where he was shot.

It happened about 2:30 p.m. after an altercation inside 2322 S. Schiller St., Little Rock Police Department Spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said.

After being shot, the man jumped through a window in front of the residence and ran several houses south to 2404 S. Schiller St. He was located there by responding officers.

The man was reportedly able to direct officers up the street to where the shooting occurred before being taken for treatment.

Police are still trying to figure out the identity of the shooter, who was not on scene when officers arrived.

The house is not vacant, Davis said, although it was not immediately clear who lives there.

The victim's identity is not yet known.
