4 killed in 1-car crash in Fort Smith

State police say three men and a 20-year-old woman are dead after a single-vehicle crash at Fort Smith.

A state police report said a small car crashed about 2:40 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of South 14th Street and Arkansas 22, just southeast of Fort Smith’s downtown area.

The report identified those killed as 20-year-old driver Ryan N. Gallegos of Barling and three passengers — 20-year-old Ashlee N. Stamper of Barling; 24-year-old Christopher Strozier of Greenwood; and 21-year-old Justin R. Goins of Greenwood.

According to the accident report, the car was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control in a curve and the vehicle left the road, hitting a traffic-signal pole. The report said the car’s passenger side slammed into the pole.
