Firefighters spray down a Little Rock apartment after a fire this morning.

— No one was injured but an apartment was gutted in a fire that sparked early this morning.

Little Rock Fire Department crews were dispatched at about 6:30 a.m. to Rosewood Apartments, 6600 Lancaster Road. Arriving crews found a two-story unit in the rear of the complex fully involved, said Capt. Randy Hickmon.

The occupants were able to escape without injury, Hickmon said, adding the Red Cross had been called to assist them.

The interior of the unit was destroyed, Hickmon said. Apartments on either side likely suffered some heat and water damage as well, he said.

An investigator was called to the scene but the cause has not yet been determined.
