Little Rock officials announced the extension of the swim season at two city pools.
Budget cuts had forced a shortened season, but according to the city, several generous individuals and corporations have made it possible to keep open longer some of the city pools that were going to close at the end of July.
Southwest Little Rock Community Center Swimming Pool and the Jim Dailey Aquatic Center will now stay open until mid-August, which is their normal closing date.
