Suspects in Cabot chase arrested

— The suspected occupants of a stolen pickup that rammed a Cabot Police Department patrol car during a chase last week have been arrested, authorities said Wednesday.

Andrew Huett, 22, of Conway, and Justin Reaves, 18, were taken into custody Wednesday without incident. Police spokesman Sgt. Brent Lucas said he did not have information on how authorities identified the two men beyond that it involved "several days of investigation."

Huett is the suspected driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, which on July 14 refused to stop for an officer. At one point during an ensuing chase, the truck turned around in a Cabot cul-de-sac and intentionally rammed the pursuing patrol vehicle.

Additional officers continued the chase north on Highway 5 before the fleeing pickup ran off the road between Spring Valley Road and Kirkland Drive. Both the driver and the passenger fled into a nearby wooded area and eluded capture that night.

Huett is facing charges of theft by receving, theft of property, criminal trespassing, fleeing by vehicle, aggravated assault, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and fleeing on foot. Reaves is charged only with fleeing on foot.
