— Alabama was selected to repeat as champions of the Southeastern Conference, and three Arkansas players were selected to the all-SEC teams selected by the media during SEC media days.

The Razorbacks were picked to finish second in the SEC West behind Alabama. Arkansas received six, first-place votes and three votes to win the SEC overall championship.

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett and tight end D.J. Williams were named to the first team picked by 177 voters. Senior offensive lineman DeMarcus Love was slotted to the second team offense. No Arkansas receivers were named to the list.

Three Razorbacks — but no receivers — were named to the coaches' all-SEC team Tuesday.

"The fact of the matter is, when you have that many good players in a conference, you don't know how the voting is going to go," Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino said Thursday, referring to the coaches' all-SEC selections. "I know our receivers will take it personal."

Alabama led the league with 12 all-SEC selections in the media's poll, including the leading vote-getter, running back Mark Ingram. There were no unanimous selections this year.

Florida was picked to meet the Tide in the SEC Championship. Georgia and South Carolina were separated by one vote for second in the SEC East, with the Bulldogs picked second with 791 points.
