— (This column represents on-air summaries for the week of July 19-23.) All My Children: Damon blew up at Colby for insinuating he was cheating. JR came to Annie’s rescue, and she explained that Tucker treated her as if she was nothing. Colby saw JR and Annie kiss, but JR insisted he was committed to his family. Annie told Scott she wanted to get married; he proposed, and she said yes. Liza caught Damon taking money out of the register at Krystal’s bar, but he said he planned to pay it back. Because Liza switched his meds, Damon missed his adoption party.

David learned Greenlee had followed Ryan to New York and met Ryan in the park to tell him he planned to fight for her. Ryan suffered an intense pain in the head and fell unconscious with an aneurysm, and David made no attempt to help him. Caleb planned to leave town until he learned that JR duped him into selling the company to the Chandlers, and he vowed to get it back. Madison admitted she was falling in love with Ryan.

As the World Turns: Henry demanded that Vienna tell him what happened to Barbara.

She denied any involvement, locked Henry in the spa room at the Lakeview and fled to the hospital, where she begged Casey for help. Ali told him the police were investigating Vienna’srole in Barbara’s disappearance. Casey brought Margo to the room Vienna was in, but it was empty. Carly was distressed to hear about Lily and Craig sharing a room in New York, but Lily played up her friendship with Craig to keep Carly from finding out about his involvement with the perfume company. Dusty told Jack that Blackthorn was working with Craig and that Craig’s buy-in money for Worldwide came from Blackthorn. They agreed to investigate the connection to protect Janet.

The Bold and the Beautiful: After confessing her tryst with Oliver to Ridge, Brooke told him about Steffy’s blackmail. Ridge confronted Oliver, then Steffy, and assigned her to be the one to welcome Brooke back to the company.

He then told Stephanie that Brooke was returning and that the Forrester-Logan war was over. Hope told Oliver and Brooke that she had decided not to move to Boston. Spencer Publications’ new intern, Liam, found incriminating evidence that Justin decided to use for the company’s benefit. A shocking revelation emerged in the video Steffy made to welcome Brooke back to the company. Nick and Aggie made love for the first time.

Days of our Lives: Madeline died after falling down the stairs pursuing Chad, who was racked with guilt. Lexie assured him that it wasn’t his fault; his mother had a brain aneurysm. Hope began to carry out her plan to kill Bo by setting fire to the house with himin it. He was rescued by Daniel, who showed up looking for Carly, and by Roman and the paramedics, who had been tipped off by Dr.

Baker. She escaped, found Bo in the hospital and tried again to kill him but was foiled when he opened his eyes and Carly entered the room. Daniel saw Father Matt and learned that his refusal to marry him and Chloe had nothing to do with Chloe’s annulment from Lucas. He confronted her, and she continued to cover up the truth but later considered coming clean. Rafe hid his pain when Sami told him she was moving in with EJ. He asked her if EJ made her happy. She was about to tell Rafe she still had feelings for him but decided to keep quiet because he’d moved on.

General Hospital: The hospital went into lockdown after Nik and Liz’s newborn son disappeared from the nursery. Among those there for treatment were Michael, who got into a fight on his first day of community service, and Kristina, who sprained her ankle at the tennis club. Warren confronted Kristina, demanding she release her medical records to clear Kiefer’s name. Michael attacked Warren, who went on a rampage with a gun, injuring several people. Shirley passed away after seeing Liz one last time. Johnny tried to make up with Olivia, but Brook continued coming on to him. Jason was rereleased from Pentonville and went with Dante to Los Angeles, where they found Franco’s Port Charles “artwork’’ in a warehouse.

One Life to Live: After Langston caught her and Charlie in a kiss, Dorian walked in on David and Viki in bed. Charlie and Viki confessed that they were trying to make Dorian and David jealous so they’d reconcile. They realized their plan had backfired and decided to get away for a while. Jessica and Natalie went to the ER for treatment after eating David’s muffins and learned they were both pregnant. Natalie was on the verge of telling John about her onenight stand with Brody when she learned that Jessica told Brody about her own pregnancy.

Eli got a call from Lisa Williamson asking for Bennett Thompson. He shadowed Rex to a hotel in Boston and drugged his food. Layla learned that Evangeline had a living will after her mother burned it.

The Young and the Restless: Meggie interrupted Victor’s proposal to Nikki, which she accepted. Chance offered Billy a story, and Roman showed up at the magazine and warned him not to print it. Chance arrived and arrested Roman, who told Meeks he bugged the apartment to keep Chance away from the press.

Kent told Abby they had no backing for the “Naked Heiress’’ pilot. Abby told him she’d sell Brad’s house to get the money. Lauren was served with legal papers. Tucker sent Sofia Dupre to a meeting in his place, confusing Kay and Neil. Jack offered to get Beauty of Nature for Tucker in exchange for sharing CEO duties at Jabot with Ashley.
