Former Democratic Senate hopeful D.C. Morrison is backing Republican Beth Anne Rankin’s bid for a southern Arkansas congressional seat.
Rankin’s campaign on Monday announced that Morrison had endorsed her bid against Democratic congressman Mike Ross in the 4th Congressional District. Morrison, a Little Rock businessman, ran for the Democratic Senate nomination and forced a runoff between Sen. Blanche Lincoln and Lt. Gov. Bill Halter.
Morrison has since become a darling of the state GOP. He’s backed Republican Congressman John Boozman’s bid for Lincoln’s Senate seat and Republican Tim Griffin’s campaign for the 2nd Congressional District.
