Police arrest man in face-shooting incident

A man wanted in connection with a shooting was captured in a Cabot parking lot Tuesday.

Eldon "Lee" Leroy Howe Jr., 41, was taken into custody without incident by Cabot police officers around 10:45 a.m., according to a news release from the Lonoke County sheriff's office.

Howe was arrested on charges of first degree battery and possession of firearms by certain persons. He is accused of shooting Michael Strange of Austin in the mouth last week.

Strange is recovering and may be released from the hospital soon, according to authorities.

Investigators were also looking for Jon Michael Anderson, 23, of Cabot. Anderson is described as 5’6, 180lbs, brown hair, blue eyes. The sheriff's office said Anderson’s involvement in the shooting was not clear.
