Man accused of stealing items from grandmother's house

A man was arrested on burglary charges after police say he was seen removing items from his grandmother's Hot Springs home.

Brice Evans Brown, 26, was charged with residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Police received a call from a neighbor who saw a man drive to Patsy Brown's house and carry several items out of her residence at 101 Roadmaster.

The neighbors called Patsy Brown, who informed them that her grandson was not supposed to be in her house, according to a police report.

The neighbors followed the man, who was in a Trailblazer, until officers stopped him on Lakeland Drive.

According to police, the officers found two guns, jewelry, a DVD player and other items in the SUV. He also had a bottle of pills said to belong to Patsy Brown. She identified all of the items as hers and asked to press charges.

Brice Brown was transported to the Garland County jail. He has a court date on Aug. 10.
