Man arrested after LR robbery, chase

A man who police say was caught stealing copper piping from a Little Rock building led officers on a car chase before getting into an accident, according to authorities.

Albert Williams, 32, is charged with theft, breaking and entering, criminal mischief, failure to yield and reckless driving in the episode that began before 8 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the police report, the accident happened when Williams failed to yield, hitting a 16-year-old driver at an intersection.

Williams led police on a 45 mph chase around East Sixth Street after he was seen at the closed Job Corps building on 21st and Bragg streets.
