Suspect in heist faces more charges

Ohio woman helped boyfriend rob Conway bank, investigators allege

— A second person was charged with additional counts Wednesday in the June 21 robbery of a Centennial Bank branch in Conway.

Jamie Marie Parm, 32, of Hillsboro, Ohio, was charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property, both felonies, Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden said.

Eric Kennedy, 34, also of Hillsboro, was charged in June with aggravated robbery and other felony offenses. He also was charged at the time with one count of theft of property and one count of theft by receiving.

Kennedy is Parm’s boyfriend, Conway police officer Chris Harris said.

Parm was already being held on a previously filed charge of theft by receivingin the robbery and was being served the new warrant Wednesday, Harris said.

Authorities have not found the stolen money, Harris said, adding that it probably had been spent.

Police said a man had walked into the bank on East Oak Street near East German Lane and handed a teller a note demanding money. The note said the man was armed, but he never showed a weapon, Harris has said.

Vaden said Wednesday that Parm did not enter the bank during the robbery.

“We’re alleging that she had a part in assisting him with the crime,” he said.

The toughest charge against both defendants - aggravated robbery - could result in a prison sentence of 10 to 40 years, or life in prison.
