Bodies of 2 plane crash victims recovered in Mich.

Michigan state police divers have recovered the remains of two people who were passengers on a medical plane that crashed into Lake Michigan last week.

Mason County Emergency Management Coordinator Liz Reimink said Friday that the bodies were taken to the county medical examiner’s office for identification.

Two others who were on the July 23 flight remain missing. The pilot was rescued that day.

Officials located the plane’s wreckage Thursday evening using sonar.

The plane plunged into the lake off the coast of western Michigan while flying a cancer patient to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
