The Rep stages Smokey Joe’s Cafe

— Smokey Joe’s Cafe, the Broadway show celebrating the music written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller (“Hound Dog” and “Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley, “Poison Ivy,” “Charlie Brown” and “Yakety Yak” by The Coasters, “On Broadway” and “There Goes My Baby” by The Drifters) opens Friday night at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre in Little Rock, as reported in Thursday’s Arkansas Weekend section. Tickets are $20-$50.

Meanwhile, the Little Rock Film Festival continues through Sunday. This year’s selection includes a range of short films, documentaries, features and mainstream fare like Get Him to the Greek. Most of the screenings will be at the Riverdale Cinemas, 2600 Cantrell Road, but five will be held at the Clinton School of Public Service, while Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? gets a Movies in the Park presentation, at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. General festival passes are $30.
