Lincoln expects her voting to go smoothly this time

Sen. Blanche Lincoln doesn’t expect the same trouble voting in Tuesday’s U.S. Senate runoff as she did May 18.

In the primary three weeks ago, Lincoln’s attempt to vote hit a snag because she had already asked for an absentee ballot. She cast a provisional ballot that day.

Lincoln’s campaign had said she asks for absentee ballots because she doesn’t always know if she’ll be in Arkansas to vote. Critics said the primary day mixup was an example of Lincoln being tied more to Washington than Arkansas.

Her campaign said Monday it asked Pulaski County officials to make sure Lincoln could cast a regular vote in Little Rock Tuesday. Lincoln faces Lt. Gov. Bill Halter for the Democratic nomination.
