615 pounds of marijuana seized in LR

— More than 600 hundred pounds of marijuana was seized and one person was arrested after North Little Rock authorities served a search warrant at a Pulaski County business Sunday, police said.

Harold Eugene Green, 42, was arrested shortly after 4 p.m. on charges including maintaining a drug premise, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by certain persons and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a North Little Rock Police Department arrest report, authorities went to Trade Seasons Construction at 15525 Lawson Road to execute a narcotics search warrant. Inside, investigators found 615 pounds of marijuana, 6 rifles, a handgun and $23,000 in cash, Sgt. Terry Kuykendall said in a news release.

Green was the only person in the residence when police showed up. He reportedly has a previous felony conviction, although an arrest report filed in the case did not specify the charge.

The seizure came after a two-month joint investigation with the Saline Count Sheriff's Office. Kuykendall said North Little Rock narcotics investigators are deputized to work throughout Pulaski County, which is why they were able to conduct the raid outside of city limits.

Green is due in court Tuesday morning. Bond has not been set.
