— SAFETYTAT

What is it?

A temporary tattoo for children that provides the number of their parents’ mobile phone, just in case they’re separated in a crowded place like the zoo or a mall - or heaven forbid - while on vacation in a strange city. Gives well-meaning security guards or kindly concerned strangers a way to help parent and child reconnect quickly.

Why bother?

Most parents have experienced that feeling of helpless panic in a public place when Junior - who just seconds before was tugging on a pants leg asking for a toy or complaining that his sister won’t stop pulling his hair - is nowhere to be found. (How do they do that?) And it’s frightening for kids, too, when they realize they’re lost.

How’s it work?

Parents place the “tattoo” on their young child, somewhere a helpful grown-up will see it if child and parent are separated. The peel-off backing on the newest model allows it to be put on without the wet cloth many temporary tattoos employ. A special pen that comes with the SafetyTat is used to write the parent’s phone number on the tattoo. Can last a couple of weeks if placed somewhere the child won’t pick at it or if it’s not deliberately removed by pulling it slowly from the skin.
