McDaniel says $275K paid to Ark. crime victims

— Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says more than $275,000 was paid out in May by the state Crime Victims Reparations Board.

A news release from McDaniel’s office Tuesday said the money went to 160 victims of crime in Arkansas.

The program is funded in part by fines imposed on convicted criminals, court costs and fees. It is intended to provide some compensation for expenses incurred by crime victims and their families.
