Harding college receives grant

— The Harding University Cannon-Clary College of Education and Arkansas Teachers for National Board Certification were awarded a $3,500 grant from State Farm.

The college hosts the annual Arkansas Teachers for National Board Certification state conference, and the grant will fundconference events and the keynote speaker for January 2011, Jerry Parks, a National Board Certified Teacher, 2009 Teacher Hall of Fame inductee and middle school social studies teacher from Lexington, Ky.

Arkansas Teachers for National Board Certification was organized in 2002 andworks to promote excellence in teaching with a commitment to the achievement of all students in Arkansas.
