McCRORY — Courtney Myers of McCrory was awarded the Academic Freshman Scholarship for the fall 2010 semester at Arkansas State University-Newport.
Myers, the daughter of Glyn Myers and Joy and Frank Gregory, graduated from McCrory High School in 2010.
In high school, Myers played softball, basketball and golf and was a member of the band, the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
The Academic Freshman Scholarship is awarded to first-time college students who have achieved a composite score of at least 24 on the Enhanced American CollegeTe s t . The scholarship pays full tuition for students who are enrolled full timeand maintain a 3.0 GPA thefirst semester of study and an accumulative GPA of 3.25 for the following two semesters.
