Senior centers to serve as cooling sites

— The Central Arkansas Development Council Senior Activity Centers in Clark, Hot Spring, Montgomery, Pike, and Saline counties will serve as cooling shelters during their regular business hours for anyone who needs a break from the heat.

In Clark County, the Arkadelphia center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1311 N. 10th St. For more information, contact Cindy Rhodes at (870) 246-9871.The Gurdon center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 410 E.
