Three arrested on drug charges in Humnoke

Three men were arrested on drug charges after investigators with a search warrant discovered chemicals used to make methamphetamine in a truck outside a Humnoke residence, authorities said.

Investigators with the Lonoke County sheriff's office, along with officers from the Alport and England police departments, found a 2003 Dodge truck with the following inside: a .22 revolver, a backpack containing chemicals, glassware, components and paraphernalia utilized in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, and other forms of drug paraphernalia. Inside the residence, officers found stained glass jars, pills, and other forms of paraphernalia.

While at the residence, 28 year old Matthew Munnerlyn of Humphrey, turned over a prescription pain pill which he did not have a prescription for. Arrested at the scene were Munnerlyn, 26 year old Joseph Penn and 26 year old Jared Mckee both of Humnoke. Joseph Penn, 26 and the owner of the truck, is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of firearms and drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jared McKee, is charged with possession of paraphernalia to manufacture, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthew Munnerlyn, 28, of Humphrey is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

All three men were transported to the Lonoke County jail.
