SCHOLARLY SOIREE 24 grown-up CARTI kids get help with college costs

— Twenty-four cancer survivors were awarded college scholarships during the June 10 CARTI Kids Dennis Jungmeyer Scholarship Awards ceremony.

The Tenenbaum Foundation was the sponsor of the event, which took place at the Governor’s Mansion. Jungmeyer and first lady Ginger Beebe gave out the $2,500 scholarship awards. The scholarships are funded by money raised through two CARTI events as well as other donations.

The recipients are Miranda Baird of Fayetteville; Morgan Butler of Hope; Stephen Clem of Hot Springs; Ben Dalton; Marcos Day of Scott; Shelley Dockery; Katie Edwards; Phyllis Everette of Morrilton; Colleen Hathaway; Ethan Helm; Ryne Johnson; Greg Jones of Fayetteville; Blythe Joyner of Conway; Kevin Leon of Siloam Springs; Eli Lindseyof Casscoe; Caleb Loe of Tatum, Texas; Mason Mc-Millen of Damascus; Celso Medina of Fort Smith; Kendall Meins of DeWitt; Clayton Mitchell of Paragould;Stephanie Remsing; Tyler Robbins of Malvern; Allison Stanley of Texarkana, Texas; and Patrick Wyerick.
