RUSSELLVILLE — Arkansas Tech University will host a summer theater presentation of Willy Wonka, with almost 100 local thespians in the cast and lots of singing and dancing.
“We are delighted to have veteran director Dr. Ardith Morris directing this production, Ken Futterer as music director and orchestra conductor, Ashley Davis as choreographer, Daniel Stahl as technical director, Catherine Martin as scenic designer, Dr. Tim Smith as rehearsal and performance pianist and lighting design by Jason Hann,” said Betty LaGrone, Arts Center executive director.
The show will continue with a matinee at 2 p.m. today. Performances will also be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
All shows will be in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 W. Q St .,on the campus of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
General admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students and $4 for children age 5 and younger. Reserved seating is $15 for adults, $8 for students and $4 for children age 5 and younger. Reserved tickets are available only in advance at the River Valley Arts Center, 1001 E. B St. in Russellville; or with a credit card by calling (479) 968-2452. Arts Center members will receive a $2 discount per ticket. General admission tickets are available at the box office in Witherspoon Auditorium, which will open one hour before each performance.
