DJ sought as suspect in stabbings at club

Woman called ‘aggressor’ also wanted

— A man known as “DJ Quest” and a woman believed to be his girlfriend are wanted in the stabbing of two people inside a Pulaski County nightclub early Sunday morning, according to a sheriff ’s office report released Tuesday.

Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Donovan “DJ Quest” Patterson, 38, of 913 E. E St. in North Little Rock charging him in the stabbing of James Ferrell, 20, of Little Rock and Lieuxrita Green, 27, of Jacksonville at The Yard nightclub at 410 Primrose St. south of the McAlmont community in Pulaski County, the report said.

Deputies were working Tuesday to obtain a warrant for Patterson’s girlfriend, known only as “Trina,” who they believe “was the primary aggressor” in the argument turned stabbing about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, the report said.

Ferrell and Green, both stabbed in the chest, were being treated Tuesday afternoon at Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock. They are expected to recover, sheriff ’s office spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said.

On Sunday, a deputy spoke with Zhane Williams, Green’s 16-year-old niece, who had been inside the club when the two were stabbed, the report said. The girl told deputies Green had began to argue with a black woman known only as “Trina” who has pink and black hair when the disc jockey, later identified as Patterson, got involved, the report said.

The DJ “punched Green in the face several times” and gave “Trina” what appeared to be a knife, which she then used to stab Green in the chest, the report said.

Patterson then pushed Green to the floor and stabbed Ferrell, who had attempted to separate the fighting women, the report said.

Later, when deputies arrived at the club, they found only four patrons and the club’s owner, Kenneth Harris, inside. Harris and the others said they hadn’t seen anything, the report said. Harris said he knew the DJ only as “DJ Quest,” who “came in and out to DJ at the club every so often to work,” the report said.

Anyone with information concerning Patterson’s whereabouts is encouraged to call Pulaski County Crime Stoppers at 340-TIPS.
