DARDANELLE — Yell County authorities are investigating the shooting death Monday of a Dardanelle-area woman.
Christina Pitts, 37, was shot at her home in the Slo Fork community just south of Dardanelle, Sheriff Bill Gilkeysaid in a news release Tuesday. Deputies were called to the scene after 3 p.m., when Pitts’ boyfriend returned home from work and found the body, Gilkey said.
Chief Deputy John Foster said he expects charges to be filed today against a Yell County man, whom he didn’t identify.
