LITTLE ROCK The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will receive $1.9 million in a new agreement that gives a Pepsi bottler exclusive rights to sell its products on campus, officials announced today.
The deal, which comes on the heels of a 7-year contract that expired in December, gives PepsiAmericas "pouring rights" at UALR vending machines, food courts and cafeterias through 2016.
The funds will be used for "unrestricted support of athletics, student services, student scholarships and faculty excellence," UALR Executive Director of Development Bob Denman said in a news release.
“We have been pleased with our prior partnership with Pepsi and look forward to their continued support over the next seven years,” Chancellor Joel E. Anderson said in the release. “I have been impressed by their wide portfolio of products served on our campus and their acceptance by our campus community.”
