— Police are asking for the public's assistance in catching a man responsible for bank robbery in Little Rock that occurred more than two years ago.

The Little Rock Police Department this afternoon released surveillance from the July 16, 2007 hold-up as part of the agency's cold case investigation effort. The video is viewable by clicking here or on the image at left.

"Someone knows who this suspect is and detectives are asking for their help catching this criminal," police spokesman Lt. Terry Hastings said in a statement.

Police say the man handed a teller a withdrawal note with no amount written on it and later displayed a pistol and informed the teller it was a robbery. It happened at the Bank of America at 11102 N. Rodney Parham Road.

The robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a white man about 50 years old who weighed about 185 pounds and is about 5-foot-9. He was wearing a blue ball cap, a blue and gray striped shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 371-4660.
