LITTLE ROCK The Arkansas Court of Appeals has overturned the arson conviction of a former volunteer firefighter and ordered a new trial in the case.
The court found that the judge made a mistake in jury instructions in the trial of Dustin Torrence.
Torrence was convicted in Cleveland County of arson in connection with a fire that destroyed Kingsland High School in May 2003. Torrence was a volunteer firefighter in Kingsland at the time.

This guy is a disgrace to everything that firefighting is about. I hope they convict him again, and make him sit in prison like the other guys who were involved in this situation. Why were they sent to prison, and he was not?
