Memorial set for Monday in Little Rock for Blount

— A public memorial service for Oscar winning actress and producer Lisa Blount is set for Monday afternoon in Little Rock.

The service will be at noon at Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church and will celebrate Blount’s life.

The 53-year-old Blount was found dead in her Little Rock home on Wednesday. She battle chronic illness but authorities have not released her cause of death, though an autopsy was ordered.

Blount lived in Little Rock with her husband, actor Ray McKinnon.

Blount won Academy Award in 2001 for best live-action short film as producer of “The Accountant.” She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in “An Officer and a Gentleman.” She also starred in 2004’s “Chrystal” with fellow Arkansan Billy Bob Thornton.
