BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the 2010 Christmas Parade will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.
The theme for the 2010 Christmas parade is “Toyland Christmas.” Registration forms for float and parade participants are available at the Chamber or online at www.mybatesville.org.
The deadline to enter the 2010 Christmas Parade is Wednesday, Dec. 1. All floats to be judged must register prior to noon Wednesday, Dec. 1. A judging number will be assigned upon return of the registration form. Forms may be submitted to angela.connell@mybatesville.org or returned/mailed to the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, 409 Vine St., Batesville, AR 72501. Categories to be judged are commercial and nonprofit/civic organization. All float winners will be announced Monday, Dec. 6.
Candy is not allowed to be thrown from floats. Parade walkers are permitted to hand out candy. All entries must be decorated with lights. A Coggins test and documents are required for all horses.
The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce assumes no responsibility for injury before, during or after the parade.
