Mena woman, 69, dies in collision

LITTLE ROCK — A woman was killed Sunday evening when she crashed a car into an oncoming truck on Arkansas 41 south of Horatio in western Arkansas, the Arkansas State Police reported.

Lois Crow, 69, of Mena was headed north in a Ford Focus at 5:43 p.m. when she lost control of the car, struck a guardrail and crashed into the southbound Nissan truck, according to a state police report.

Crow, who was thrown from the car, died at the scene, the report says.

The truck’s driver, Tommy Wilkerson, 64, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, was treated at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas, and released.
