Stuttgart’s annual Wings Over the Prairie Festival lets fly with its main events this weekend, as reported in Thursday’s Arkansas Weekend section.
The carnival and midway area is open today through Saturday. Arts and crafts, the sporting collectibles show andduck-calling events start Friday. The main attractions come Saturday: the Great 10K Duck Race, the World Championship Duck Gumbo Cook-off and the World Championship Duck Calling Contest. General festival admission is free.
In Little Rock, there’s action on the comedy scene this weekend. Alex Ortiz headlines shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7, 9 and 11 p.m. Saturday at the Loony Bin comedy club, with tickets priced at $9. Actor-comedian Kevin Hart brings his “Thanks for the Laugh Comedy Tour” to Little Rock at 8 p.m. Friday at Robinson Center Music Hall. Tickets are $27.40-$45.90.
