Chamber Singers to perform holiday dinner concert

— The Harding University Chamber Singers will perform their fourth annual holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 5, including appetizers and dinner provided by Classic Fare Catering.

The event will start at 6 p.m. in the Heritage Inn lobby on campus, where guests will be served light appetizers before the meal. Concert attendees will then transition upstairs to the Cone Chapel for dinner and the performance while overlooking the Christmas lights decorating the front lawn.

Tickets are $17 each and can be purchased by calling the Classic Fare Catering office at (501) 279-4231. Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, Dec. 2. Cash, check, VISA and Mastercard are all accepted. Large groups are welcome and frequently make reservations to sit together at the concert.

The concert will include several songs from the group’s fall repertoire and Christmas favorites, including an arrangement of “Silent Night,” the famous “Carol of the Bells” by Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych and John Rutter’s “Angels’ Carol.”

The event originated with Cliff Ganus III, who proposed the idea as an opportunity to showcase the talented group of singers, as well as some of the finer dining options available through Classic Fare Catering.

The Chamber Singers are led by Kelly Neill, assistant professor of music.
