— Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that started Thursday morning in a house in west Little Rock.

Crews were called to 2614 Millbrook Road about 9:40 a.m. after a passerby spotted smoke coming out of the structure.

Little Rock Fire Department Battalion Chief Sam Summerville said crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming out of an upstairs bedroom.

No one was home and no injuries were reported.

The fire damage is believed to have been contained to the upstairs, but there is water damage on the first floor, Summerville said. No loss estimate was immediately known.

Summerville said an investigator was on scene shortly after the fire was extinguished.
