Fayetteville defeated Fort Smith Southside, 24-21, on Friday night at Jim Rowland Stadium in Fort Smith.

Friday’s win will allow Fayetteville (10-3) to avenge another one of its regular-season losses in the Class 7A state championship game next Friday against Bentonville (12-0).
